Provide a solution to help the housing crisis by creating environmentally conscious and affordable homes for people with low income. This low-income sector is diverse, and diversity generates ecosystems. Designing inclusive housing will allow us to generate a more harmonious community.
Flexibility is at the core – with the option of a loft space and parking area. Rainwater collection system ensures sustainability, directing water to underground tanks for non-consumable outdoor use. The combination of inclusive design, sustainability, and flexibility contributes to the creation of a solution that not only addresses the housing crisis but also promotes a sense of community and well-being.
There are a total of 9 different units that include essentials needed for a comfortable home. Each unit features two outdoor spaces: a front yard with a path mirroring concrete wall silhouettes and a back terrace inspired by the Texas landscape. The facade mimics the shape of cactus in order to be more efficient against heat. The 100 by 38 foot print bed accommodates five 370 square feet units with shared walls, optimizing cost-effectiveness.
