José Xavier Fuentes Coyula, co-founder of NTC-Estudio, was born in Havana, Cuba. He earned his degree in Architecture from the University of Havana (CUJAE) and moved to Miami, Florida, after graduating in 2019.

Coyula has continued his career as an Architectural Designer, contributing to firms such as Preschel Bassan Studio, Nichols Architects, and Zyscovich. He actively participates in architectural competitions, with his projects featured in DesignBoom and Parametric.Architecture magazines.
